    Episode 1

    Getting started

Create a project from the Skeleton template and run the sample game. In the workspace, locate the pages, the game UI, the lines, the background and the music, in the order the game showed them. Import your own music into the same place, then press F1 there and open the online documentation from the help.

    Episode 2

    Edit and play

Search for a line, edit it and play from that row. Edits made while the game runs are reloaded automatically. After deleting a scene by mistake, open the row at fault from the Dev Mode error and undo the deletion in the outline. The full list of shortcuts is under the keyboard icon at the right end of the status bar.

    Episode 3

    Writing a story

Create a scene, set its default background and write the narration. Before the character enters, see how a character is created and given sprites, and add a Smile pose to Narra in the Characters panel. Then write Narra's entrance, lines, change of expression and exit, change the background, and play from the first row.

    Episode 4

    Branches and endings

Connect After school, the scene written in episode 3, to the sample story, add a choice at its end and record the player's choice in the saved variable affection. Create two ending scenes and jump to one or the other according to the variable. Then use the Route coverage test to find a condition that can never hold, correct it and run the test again. Finally, play the choice and the ending in Dev Mode. When a project has many scenes, Ctrl+P opens a scene by its name.
